Mesa, Arizona – March 3, 2024 – The 12U ELiTE Titans emerged triumphant in a thrilling showdown at the USSSA Championship held in Mesa, Arizona on March 3, 2024. The team’s stellar performance and unwavering determination propelled them to claim the coveted title in a display of sheer leadership and excellence on the field.
The week started on Monday February 26th with a Swing Session at Arizona Batting Club, followed by a Team/Parents Meeting.
Tuesday – Thursday (February 27-29th) the ELiTE players had practices in the morning 9-11:45am at Cactus Yards in Gilbert, AZ followed up with Swing Sessions, Leadership Classes including visits by Raf Melchione, Hitting (Angels/Cubs), Ryan Cooper, Catching (Brewers) and Albie Lopez, Throwing/Pitching (Diamondbacks). Topped off with an evening Scrimmage under the lights at Cactus Yards.
Friday (March 1st) morning the team took to the field at Cactus Yards and Coach Albie took the players through a throwing progression and pitching clinic. The team then went to Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, Scottsdale Arizona to watch the Colorado Rockies vs Seattle Mariners Spring Training Game.
Saturday – Sunday (March 2-3) The ELiTE Titans competed at Cactus Yards (12U) and at Rio Vista Fields, Peoria Arizona (10U)
The journey to the Championship was not an easy draw. Here is the summary:
- Game 1 vs Ahwatukee Devils, Phoenix Arizona 16-4 win
- Game 2 vs Play Pro Baseball, Peoria, Arizona 9-7 win
- Game 3 vs Arizona Chaos, Phoenix Arizona 9-1 win
- Semi-Final vs USA Prime, Albuquerque, New Mexico 6-5 win
The championship game versus TOP TIER Baseball, Springfield Illinois witnessed the ELiTE Titans showcasing their exceptional skill, strategic prowess, and unparalleled teamwork, solidifying their status as formidable contenders in their division. With each player demonstrating outstanding athleticism and a relentless drive to succeed, the ELiTE Titans left an indelible mark on the tournament, earning the admiration of fans and fellow competitors alike. The Titans claimed the Championship with a 7-5 win.

As they bask in the glory of their well-deserved victory, the ELiTE Titans look ahead with optimism and determination, eager to build upon their achievements and continue their pursuit of leadership and excellence in the world of baseball and life.
The 10U ELiTE Titans took Silver in their division, the young team pleasantly surprised all with a strong showing against some strong competition. “It was a successful weekend on and off the field” says Head Coach, Albie Lopez (12 year MLB Pitcher and World Series Champion).
